Comfort and rich sound
Out of all the headphones I've ever bought over the years, Sennheiser have always been of the best quality regarding sound. I don't buy any others now and I only have to by replacements because I break them occasionally, not because they have failed. Sound quality is the most important feature being an audiophile and these are a great low priced headphone for a small budget. They also have an extra long lead so you don't have to be two feet away from your hi-fi or whatever device you are using making listening a more relaxing experience.Out of all the headphones I've ever bought over the years, Sennheiser have always been of the best quality regarding sound. Great 'starter' headphones, if you accept the limitations
You probably won't believe me but I found my as -new HD201s in a charity shop bin (I was relief manager at the time), and I'm still using them after 5 years, albeit with replaced earpads. Throughout this time I assumed they sounded great, until I tried other 'phones which sounded . . . different. HD202s, AKG K44s, even the dirt-cheap Betron Retro cans. They all have more bass, sometimes too much bass, and every time I find myself returning to the HD201s which seem to have clearer sound and better definition. The other 'phones mentioned suffer from cluttered mids and bass which tends towards loss of detail. Great audio at great price.
I already have a pair of these, bought for somewhat more elsewhere, and like the others they are really superb. They buck the modern trend to boost the bass to unpleasant and unrealistic levels but instead have a vast dynamic range with sounds of high frequency particularly well represented, essential for music value. Without qualms I use them for very accurate sound-engineering. The 'separation' of voices and instruments is impressive as is the accurate representation of the 'pan' of recordings. The only better headphones I have possessed cost even less and were a fluke pair of headphones by the now extinct Maplin's. These Sennheiser phones come very close to those. Quality set for less.
After doing my research about these and beats , bose and other top makes, I decided I would give these a go. What I will say is these are the second pair I have bought and the sound quality is fantastic. They are noise reducing and the bass is incredible. So if ur considering a more expensive pair, I would say don't! For less than a third of the price you will not be dissapointed. The wire is a decent length and so good for all different uses. I must say I'd NEVER heard of this make till recently. After doing my research about these and beats , bose and other top makes, I decided I would give these a go.
