This player rules, EngineOS exceeds expectations, and the motorized platter is icing on the cake
This player rules. The two "layer" deck approach makes is so much more functional than any Pioneer CDJ2000, CDJ3000, CDJ900, etc. because you can simultaneously play from two source decks from this single player running to two channels on your mixer. The motorized platter is unmatched. Lots of customization options for torque and stop time. The button layout for hot cues, loop control, beat jump, is also unmatched. It's honestly mind-boggling that Pioneer has lagged behind so much in this regard. There are so many logical functions and obvious layout improvements on this machine over all others like it. To me it kind of bridges the gap between software like Traktor where you can use features like Beat Jump and really intuitive looping controls to craft masterful remixes live on the fly, ... This player rules. The touchscreen display is perfectly sized/enormous and legitimately beautiful to look at. It's basically a giant iPaid screen, giving you intuitive touchscreen control in addition to dedicated buttons and knobs for everything you need, so you don't technically have to 'touch' the screen. You get full software control without a laptop. Killer. Plus you have complete control over brightness, color scheme, etc., so you can tweak the configuration to suit your taste – like setting Layer A to one color and Layer B to another so that you're always absolutely positive what's playing. The internet connectively is first of its kind, letting you seamlessly connect to and play from streaming services like Tidal, Beatport, Beatsource, and Soundcloud. Might even be more options from the EngineOS software at this point, too. Engine OS is straight up awesome software. Again, blows like products out of water in my opinion. If you're used to Serato, Rekordbox, or Traktor, you'll feel right at home immediately, but also quickly notice so many workflow improvements and quickly become a convert. Migrating from other platforms is seamless, too, as Engine OS will immediately recognize your music library and playlists, and analyzes tracks on the fly right on the player itself, so you can use this gear without ever downloading software for your computer to setup playlists and analyze tracks. It's a marvel. Harmonic Mixing function is super cool, where the software will match and key-shift tracks in your library at the touch of a button. Your mixes will make a huge upgrade. If you're a Serato DJ and prefer to stay that way, this does boast full integration with Serato DJ software, as well, though I can't speak to what they call "advanced integration". Just kno wthat i'ts capable. Oh, and the storage options are ridiculous! You can use an SD Card, a USB thumb drive, a USB hard drive, or just straight up put a 2.5" HDD directly on board and store all your music IN the hardware itself. Flippin awesome.

Now worthless junk...
We have multiple units in our inventory. While the one we purchased here as a replacement worker for now, one of our other Denon units does not. The one unit displayed an error code in regard to the motor software trying to reinstall. We shipped the unit to the number one recommended certified Denon repair facility. They found the problem, a short in one of the circuit boards. They said it was an easy fix. Unfortunately Denon "REFUSED" to sell them the part. It's very unfortunate that Denon has turned its back on its loyal customers. When you spend over 5k on a mixing system you expect that you will be allowed to repair it.
